A place for the images, the papers, and the questions that live between science and art.

Neuroscientist and artist based in Belgrade, moving between the microscope and the brush — between what an image can measure and what it can say.

What I work on

Research

Perineuronal nets, extracellular matrix biology, and image-based neuroscience. Most of the work lives between the microscope and the interpretation — connecting what the image shows to what the biology means.

Research notes

Image Analysis

From fluorescent signal to biological meaning. Confocal workflows, segmentation, quantitative readouts, and figures that preserve the context of the experiment.

Image analysis

Teaching

Microscopy and image-analysis concepts for students who want to understand the measurement before reaching for the tool — thesis guidance, workflow explanation, and the parts that don't make it into protocols.

My latest research

Prolonged intermittent theta burst stimulation enhances hippocampal plasticity via GluN2A-mediated signaling

Problem

The cellular and molecular mechanisms behind theta burst stimulation remain incompletely understood, limiting translational interpretation.

Approach

Combined in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro experiments across behavioral, histological, synaptosomal, and calcium-response readouts.

Result

Prolonged iTBS drove hippocampal structural and synaptic plasticity through GluN2A- and BDNF-linked signaling pathways.
